The President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration has developed a Personal Income Tax calculator that allows Nigerians to check their estimated tax under the new tax reform laws and compare it with the existing tax.

Tinubu announced this in a post he shared on his official page on X on Thursday night.

“A Personal Income Tax Calculator has been developed. It allows you to check your estimated tax under the new laws against what you currently pay. It shows clearly how these reforms protect low-income earners, ensure progressivity, and simplify compliance in order to deliver a transparent system that works for all,” the post read.

Tinubu signed into law four tax reform bills aimed at overhauling the existing tax framework. They will take effect from January 2026.

The President described it as a fair tax system that will protect the vulnerable, ensure fairness, and true redistribution in our economy.
