Recent updates indicate that Ademola Lookman’s proposed transfer to Inter Milan has suffered a huge setback.
Transfer negotiations between Atalanta and Inter Milan for Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman remain at a standstill, according to reports.
Despite Inter Milan’s improved offer of €40 million plus an additional €5 million in performance-related add-ons, Atalanta continue to hold firm on their €50 million valuation.
Inter had initially submitted a €40 million bid for Lookman, which was promptly turned down.
According to Sky Sport Italia, hopes on getting the deal finalised were high that a meeting held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, would produce a breakthrough, but progress has stalled.
Atalanta have not budged on their price but Ademola Lookman has reiterated his desire to leave the Bergamo-based club this summer.
The Nigerian international’s representatives informed Atalanta of his intention to depart following Inter’s formal proposal, which was later revised to €42 million plus €3 million in bonuses.
Still, no agreement has been reached as Atalanta remain unwilling to lower their asking price.
