Popular Nollywood actor and producer, Odunlade Adekola, has lost his father, Pastor N.A. Adekola.
The movie star made this known on Saturday, July 26, through his verified Instagram page.
The actor shared a photo of his late father on Instagram and Facebook with a short but emotional caption: “Rest on my daddy.”
Adekola, however, did not reveal what led to his father’s death or how old he was at the time of passing.
Meanwhile, the news has sparked a wave of condolences from fans, fellow actors, and religious followers across Nigeria and beyond.
Many described the late Pastor Adekola as “a devoted servant of God” and praised his legacy, especially within the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), where he reportedly served as a respected cleric for many years.
Odunlade, 48, who was born and raised in Abeokuta, Ogun State, is one of the biggest names in Yoruba cinema.
Known for his roles in films like “Saamu Alajo”, “Adekola’s Pastor”, and “Opa Aje”, he has often credited his upbringing in a Christian household as part of his foundation.
Funeral arrangements had not been announced as of press time.
