Talent manager Muyiwa Awoniyi has announced that he is no longer managing Nigerian music star Omah Lay, ending their professional relationship after years of working together.

He made this known in a series of posts on his X handle, formerly Twitter, where he shared that the decision came with love and respect.

“With love and respect, I am no longer managing @Omah_Lay. That’s my brother and I wish him all the best in his endeavours for life!” Awoniyi wrote.

In another post, he hinted at a controversial reason behind his exit, saying he had taken the job to help the singer escape what he described as a “slave deal”.

“I agreed to manage Omah to get him out of the very slave deal that you signed. Now he is out, I also am out. You on the other hand are a slave,” he wrote, without naming anyone.

The statement drew a reaction from singer Kaestyle, who appeared to take a swipe at Awoniyi. “Dem sack you, you say I’m no longer… lol always quick to go on social media,” Kaestyle commented.

Omah Lay, whose real name is Stanley Omah Didia, also responded with a show of appreciation. He described Awoniyi as “the most intelligent nigga I’ve met so far in the game.”

Awoniyi replied, “Love you my brother. Clarity of mind is on the way now finally!”
