The Chartered Institute of Information and Strategy Management (CIISM) will host its flagship 2025 event on August 15 at the Army Resource Centre, Asokoro, Abuja. The event will feature a capacity-building workshop, the formal induction of new members, and a high-profile award ceremony.
With the theme “Strategic Synergies: Leveraging Arts Management & Information Strategy for Nigeria’s Development,” the programme brings together stakeholders from academia, policy, and the creative industries.
Guest speakers confirmed include CIISM Board Chairman, Prof. Paul Bolorunduro, and University of Ibadan’s Prof. Oyeyemi Mathew Olugbenga, who serves as Vice President of CIISM.
Special guests expected to grace the occasion include notable legal and diplomatic personalities such as Dr. Peter Mrakpor (SAN), Amb. Dr. Uduogho, Alhaji Dr. Shehu Mohammed (Sarkin Shanun Kano), Oba Dr. Alaba Omotunde, and HE Amb. Dr. Abayomi Mumuni.
According to the Institute’s planning committee, invited inductees must complete a ₦20,000 registration at the designated bank to cover workshop materials and certification.
CIISM, formerly the Institute of Information and Strategy Management (IISM), is recognized as Africa’s largest professional body focused on information and strategic management. The annual awards spotlight individuals shaping the sector. Past honorees include Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, Governor Mai Mala Buni, and former governors Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and Ifeanyi Okowa.
This year’s award recipients are said to include distinguished professionals contributing to Nigeria’s evolving strategic information ecosystem. A full list of honorees is expected to be released closer to the event.
