Street-pop artiste, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has sparked reactions online after posting a video of himself with bundles of naira notes.
The video was shared on Sunday via his Instagram page, @portablebaeby, just hours after he attended the 50th birthday celebration of celebrity fashion designer, Seyi Adekunle, also known as Seyi Vodi.
In the video, Portable is seen sitting on a yellow sofa, wearing blue traditional attire and gold accessories, as he confidently arranged bundles of naira notes stacked in piles on a table. He captioned the post, “Labubu Habeeb.”
While the singer did not explain the source of the money, many linked the display to his appearance at Vodi’s high-profile event in Abuja.
As of the time of filing this report, the video had gathered over 1000 likes and comments, with fans calling for giveaways and joking about the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
One user, @rabiu_ademu2024, commented, “EFCC go carry you for naira multination,” while another said, “Omo this money dey enter my eyes hey.”
The cash display comes on the heels of Vodi’s well-attended 50th birthday celebration, which took place at the newly renamed Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja.
The event was themed an “all-white praise party” in thanksgiving for Vodi’s life and over two decades in the fashion industry.
Guests turned up in all shades of white, matching the evening’s dress code.
The venue featured gold lighting, white chairs, LED pin lights, and a massive gold-framed portrait of the celebrant on stage. Indoor fireworks and fog effects were used to heighten key moments throughout the night.
From red carpet arrivals to music, dancing, and worship, the event reflected Vodi’s deep gratitude and wide influence in the Nigerian fashion space.
Portable, who is known for his controversial personality and online showmanship, has often posted clips involving cash, luxury items, and statements that trend on social media.
Sunday’s video continues that pattern, leaving fans entertained and critics questioning his intentions.
