Benue Buffaloes battle Osun United as Ardova Handball League’s first phase ends

Benue Buffaloes will take on Osun United in the first game of today at the ongoing Ardova Handball Premier League, which first phase ends today in Benin City, Edo State.

According to the fixtures, Lagos Seasiders will meet Adamawa Warriors in the second game, while De Defenders are pitted against COAS Shooters. The matches will hold at the sports hall of the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin, Edo State.

Six thrilling encounters are listed for today as the teams continue to battle for points. In other games, Correction Boys will play Tojemarine Academy, Niger United take on Safety Shooters, while the only match in the women’s category will be between Omo Ogiefo and Rima Queens.

X-raying the competition so far, the President of the Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN), Sam Ocheho, commended the teams for their skillful display, while urging them to put up better performances at the second phase in Lagos.

He commended the sponsor, Ardova PLC, for partnering the HFN to take handball to a new height, noting that the history of the game in Nigeria will not be complete without the mention of Ardova.

Ocheho also described hosts, Edo State, as a worthy partner of the HFN, having hosted the Premier and the Division one League consistently over time.
