Ahead of the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting billed to hold on the 24th of this month, there are indications that the former Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, may take a shot at the chairmanship seat of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Already, his supporters have flooded his posters in strategic parts of Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), to send a clear message that he needs to be considered for the plum job at the NEC meeting.
The Guardian observed that hundreds of his posters were pasted around the city gate and at the precinct of the national secretariat of the party along Blantyre Street, within the Abuja city.
Bello, who was a two-term Governor of Kogi State, is yet to openly express interest in the plum job suddenly vacated by the former Governor of Kano State, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
