Ex-lawmaker regrets support for APGA, backs APC in Anambra

The nearly two decades of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) controlling the Anambra State governorship have been described as a “waste”.

Chief Peter Madubueze, a former member of the Federal House of Representatives for Anambra East and West Federal Constituency, made the assertion at Umueze-Anam, while addressing constituents.

Madubueze, one of the key stakeholders from the area who attended the “thank you” tour gathering of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in the upcoming November 8, 2025, election in Anambra State, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, lamented bitterly about the situation.

The gathering, held at Umueze-Anam church field, Anambra West Council, was part of Ukachukwu’s thank-you tour of the state’s 21 councils for their massive support in the recent APC governorship primary election.

Madubueze, while assuring the APC and her candidate of their bloc vote, regretted that their many years of support for APGA and its governorship candidates had been a complete disaster characterised by huge political deceit.

He expressed personal dissatisfaction with the development, seeing it as a huge deceit and disappointment, where other parties, including the ruling APGA, only remembered them, the councils, and the people, during electioneering campaigns.
He therefore insisted that this must change this time with Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu in the saddle.

He stated that they have now shifted attention in favour of the APC because of Ukachukwu and his running mate, Senator Uche Ekwunife.

He also described Ekwunife as an awesome political bulldozer who would complement the sagacity of Ukachukwu to record a sweeping landslide in the November 8, 2025, election in Anambra State, especially in Anambra West Council.

Ukachukwu, in a brief remark, vowed to run an open-door administration for the benefit of all citizens.
