Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has warmed hearts after rewarding a devoted fan who crafted an impressive crochet portrait of her.
The fan, identified as Odum Ifeoluwa, recently took to X to showcase the unique piece. In her post, the fan revealed that she spent 70 hours and completed 8,925 stitches to create the crochet tapestry portrait of Tems, marking her first anniversary since she began crocheting.
Hoping to catch the singer’s attention despite having a modest following, Ifeoluwa dedicated the project to Tems and expressed her admiration. “I hope @temsbaby gets to see this… after 8,925 stitches and 70 hours, I finished this crochet portrait of Tems. I made this to mark the 1-year anniversary of when I started crocheting. It’s also my first time doing tapestry. I love you Tems,” she wrote.

Tems soon noticed the tribute and was visibly impressed. Responding on X, the Love Me Jeje star praised Ifeoluwa’s work, calling it “unbelievable” and asked to purchase it immediately. “Yo this is unbelievable. You are incredible! I NEED IT RIGHT NOWWW. Can I buy it please?” Tems wrote.

In an exciting turn of events, Ifeoluwa later announced that Tems had gifted her ₦3 million as a token of appreciation. Sharing photo evidence of the transaction, the elated fan described it as the best day of her life and thanked Tems, her team, and the Rebel Gang fan community for their overwhelming support.
