Singer Okafor Uchenna Victor, popularly known as Mr Real, has accused Afrobeats veteran D’banj of exploiting him during their time working together.
In a recent interview, Mr Real claimed that despite spending two years under D’banj’s wing, all he gained was $500.
According to him, he served as an ambassador for D’banj’s CREAM brand but never received any meaningful benefits, despite repeated promises from the Koko Master. He further alleged that D’banj was gifted a car to hand over to him, but instead kept it, knowing fully well that he did not own one at the time.
“D’banj ripped me. No be say allegedly, he did. You can’t be with a man for two years and all you gain is $500. What kind of wickedness and selfishness is that?” Mr Real said during the interview.
This is not the first time the Legbegbe crooner has called out D’banj. Back in 2023, he accused him of failing to fulfill financial promises and of withholding his share of proceeds from their 2018 collaboration, Issa Banger.
