Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, has vowed to take legal action after a woman on X (formerly Twitter) accused him of assaulting a much younger domestic worker.
The allegation, posted by a user identified as Ayomide Agboola, spread quickly after other X users tagged Rudeboy in the thread.
According to screenshots and reactions shared online, Agboola claimed Rudeboy physically assaulted the domestic help and that, when the incident came to light, he sent his then-wife and a sister-in-law out of the house. The accused poster deactivated her social media accounts soon after the tweet began to circulate, but not before other users forwarded images of her to Rudeboy.
In a forceful response on X, Rudeboy rejected the claim and promised to use “every necessary means, power, resources and money” to find the poster and pursue legal action. He wrote that he intended to hold her to account and “use you to set an example,” adding that she should “leave X” if she wished to avoid the consequences.
As of now, neither Rudeboy nor the woman who posted the allegation has provided independent evidence to support their versions of events, and no formal police or court filings have been made public.
