Nigerian singer Tobiloba Daniel Anidugbe, better known as Kizz Daniel, is once again at the center of controversy, as new reports claim he may be facing legal and financial troubles linked to a contractual dispute.
According to documents circulating online, a court has allegedly ordered the freezing of all his personal and business accounts. The reported ruling follows claims that the singer was instructed to pay damages of more than €200,000 (about ₦350 million) after failing to honor a show, despite allegedly collecting a $50,000 advance payment from the event promoters.
Though no official statement has been released from Kizz Daniel or his management team, the reports have already caused a stir across social media platforms. The news has reignited debate about his relationship with event organizers, particularly in light of past controversies where the artist was accused of missing scheduled performances.
Adding fuel to the discussion, an online commentator identified as Bankiis issued a stern warning to event promoters, advising them against booking Kizz Daniel at this time. He described the situation as “a major risk” and alleged that the singer has displayed a repeated pattern of disappointing promoters and fans by failing to show up for shows. He further claimed that beyond these issues, Kizz Daniel no longer commands the level of fanbase and market pull required to guarantee profitable events.
The same commentator also criticized promoters in the diaspora, especially in Europe, accusing them of inflating artists’ booking fees and thereby distorting the market. His remarks have triggered heated conversations among music fans, some defending Kizz Daniel while others questioned his reliability as a performer.
For now, the claims remain unverified, but the growing speculation has placed Kizz Daniel under intense public scrutiny especially with the legal troubles. Fans and industry stakeholders are now waiting for an official response from his camp to either confirm or dismiss the reports surrounding the alleged court order and the broader contractual dispute.
