Supporters of Arsenal Football Club will not see Bukayo Saka play for a few weeks after he picked up an injury.

Bukayo Saka was substituted in the second half of Arsenal’s firtst home game of the 2025/26 Premier League season which was against newly promoted side Leeds United. The game was the dream start of the Gunners in their first game at the Emirates which ended 5-0, the major highlight was Viktor Gyökeres opening his goal account with a brace which came in the second half.

Despite the impressive performance injuries to Saka and Martin Ødegaard was the only downside of the perfect weekend.

How long will the injury rule out Bukayo Saka for?

Bukayo Saka might not be available for up to a month following a hamstring injury picked up in the Arsenal win over Leeds at the weekend. At this stage there is a chance that he will be back for the massive game between Arsenal and City on September 21, 2025.

Mikel Arteta gave an update on injuries to both Bukayo Saka and Martin Ødegaard after the game against Leeds.

“Martin felt something in his shoulder when he landed. We don’t know. We’ll have to scan him tomorrow and understand a bit better. And Bukayo, while he was running with the ball, carrying the ball, wrestling with the defender, he felt something in his hamstring. So let’s see. I think it’s the other one. It’s not the same one as the previous injury.”

Arsenal face Liverpool in their next league game before the international break and face Nottingham Forest after the break.
