As rumours and speculation of an impending departure from the Saudi Pro League, former Super Eagles of Nigeria forward Odion Ighalo has set what has been categorised as a new record in terms of the number of goals he has scored so far for the country in the league.
Ighalo has been confirmed as the 9th highest goalscorer of all time in the Saudi Pro League, with a total of 73 goals, making him the highest-ranked Nigerian player on the list.

The Nigerian forward, who represented Al-Wehda, Al-Hilal, and Al-Shabab, established himself among the league’s most prolific scorers, delivering goals and moments that earned him a lasting place in Saudi football history.
