Super Eagles of Nigeria’s head coach, Eric Chelle, has announced his provisional squad for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
As fans eagerly gear up for the August 2025 international break, the head coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Eric Chelle, in an official announcement, has confirmed his 31-man provisional squad for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers for Africa.
Given the poor outing for Super Eagles team B at CHAN 2024, Chelle has opted for a squad with more foreign-based players. The squad is still expected to be trimmed down to a 26-man squad a few days before the qualifiers, but Eric Chelle’s latest announcement has sparked a debate on social media ahead of fixtures against Rwanda and South Africa.
