Here is everything fans and music lovers should know about the ongoing Shatta Wale vs M.O.G Beatz spat on social media.
In a shocking turn of events, producer M.O.G Beatz took to his social media platform to call Shatta Wale out following a recent discovery and here are key details based on the timeline of events everyone should know about the ongoing case.
What happened between Shatta Wale and MOGBeatz?
In the early hours of today, Tuesday, August 19, 2025, producer, M.O.G Beatz, took to his social media platform, X formerly known as Twitter to allege that Ghanaian singer, Shatta Wale exploited his intellectual property using it to deceive an international company out of millions of dollars, money which he claims was used to finance a lavish lifestyle and to mock fellow artists in the Ghanaian music scene.
The producer accused Shatta Wale of wrongfully taking credit for over 25 beats he had originally created, which were later sold to a foreign company for a substantial sum. He further warned that if Shatta Wale chose to counter his claims through a defamation lawsuit, he was prepared to release concrete evidence to back his allegations.
M.O.G Beatz also revealed that he had already succeeded in having two of Shatta Wale’s albums, “Reign” and “Wondaboy,” removed from Apple Music on grounds of intellectual property infringement. He hinted that more of the dancehall artist’s projects could face the same fate on various streaming platforms if the issue persisted.
How did Shatta Wale respond to the M.O.G Beatz allegations?
Dancehall musician Shatta Wale has fired back at M.O.G Beatz following the producer’s recent accusations of intellectual property theft. In a strongly-worded reaction, Shatta Wale dismissed the claims as baseless and labeled M.O.G Beatz as ungrateful.
According to the self-acclaimed dancehall king, he had supported the producer in the past by footing medical bills for his mother and providing him with money to purchase studio equipment as compensation for his work. He argued that it was unfair for M.O.G Beatz to now turn around and brand him a scammer.
“When I was paying for your mother’s eye treatment, settling hospital bills, and giving you money to buy studio equipment in exchange for your productions, that was a scam, right? No problem,” Shatta Wale remarked.
He went on to accuse the producer of being the kind of person who discourages established artists from helping upcoming talents.
