Nigerian defender Franklin Tebo is set to complete a transfer from Norwegian club Sarpsborg to Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade.

According to DAILY POST, Sarpsborg will receive a €3.6 million transfer fee for the 25-year-old centre-back. The Norwegian side initially hesitated to sell Tebo but agreed after Red Star Belgrade submitted an improved offer.

The move will give Tebo the chance to play in the UEFA Champions League this season and reunite with fellow Nigerian international Peter Olayinka at the Serbian club.

Tebo joined Sarpsborg from Swedish side Hacken in 2023 and has steadily established himself as a promising defensive talent in European football.
