West Ham have revealed the English FA’s verdict on the investigation into Lucas Paquetá’s alleged betting case.

West Ham United have officially confirmed that midfielder Lucas Paquetá has been cleared of all alleged betting breaches following an investigation by the Football Association (FA).

The Brazilian international had been under investigation for several months due to suspicious betting activity linked to his yellow cards in Premier League matches.

The FA launched a formal inquiry, during which Paquetá consistently denied any wrongdoing and fully cooperated with authorities.

On Wednesday, West Ham released a statement welcoming the outcome and reaffirming their support for the player.

We are pleased to confirm that Lucas Paquetá has been cleared of all allegations concerning breaches of betting regulations. Lucas maintained his innocence throughout, and the club stood firmly behind him during the process.” The statement read.

Paquetá, who joined the Hammers from Lyon in 2022, has been instrumental in the club’s recent progress in both domestic and European competitions.

His performances had drawn interest from top clubs, but the investigation had cast uncertainty over his future. Now exonerated, the 27-year-old can focus fully on the upcoming season.

With the legal cloud lifted, speculation over a potential move, possibly to Manchester City, may resurface in the coming weeks.

This development comes as a major relief to both West Ham and Paquetá, allowing player and club to move forward without distraction.
