The Captain of the Super Falcons, Rasheedat Ajibade, has dedicated the team’s victory at the just-concluded Women’s African Cup of Nations (WAFCON) to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Super Falcons, and every child who believes and dreams of attaining success.
On Saturday, the Super Falcons made the country proud by emerging 10-time champions of WAFCON. On Monday, the team was received by Tinubu, among other dignitaries, at the Presidential Villa.
While speaking at the Presidential Villa on Monday, Ajibade dedicated the win to Tinubu and every Nigerian child and girl who dreams of representing the country on a global stage.
“This 10th title is for you, Mr. President; it is for Nigerians; it is for the Super Falcons and every young child who believes and dreams to be on this stage someday. We have worked hard, and this victory is a testament to our resilience and determination. It is not just about winning the trophy but also about setting standards for those coming behind us.
“We want to inspire the next generation to believe in their dreams and strive for excellence. This moment is for all of Nigeria, and we are proud to represent our country on this global stage,” said Ajibade.
