Female housemates unveiled for BBNaija Season 10

The reality television show Big Brother Naija has begun its 71-day journey of entertainment, game, rivalry, and drama.

The show returned for its 10th season.

Over the last nine years, the show has featured 187 housemates and 10 fake housemates, totalling 197 individuals who have appeared on the show.

It has also recorded 709 days of continuous entertainment with over 3000 crews working on the show since it began.
N637 million has been won over the nine-year period, with nine winners on the show.

What to expect

This year, a winner will walk away with N150 million. But there could be a twist on the prize for the winner.

Watch parties will be held nationwide for Big Brother Super fans. Fans can gather every Sunday at a venue sponsored by Multichoice and DSTV to watch the show. More details are expected to be announced.

One of the biggest highlights this season is the double launch, which means two days of launch.

Traditionally, BBNaija is launched on Sunday, but this year, it started on Saturday, July 26, 2025, and continued on Sunday, July 27, 2025, on Africa Magic Showcase, Africa Magic Family, and Showmax.

Season 10 welcomes a fierce first batch of female housemates.

This season’s first group of housemates features 15 incredible women ready to take the game by storm. From international DJs to aspiring actresses and fierce entrepreneurs, each of these queens has a unique story and a strong personality.

Zita was introduced to the house at 7:18 p.m

23-year-old Mide arrived at the house by 7:21, while Sultana, who introduced herself as a drama queen, entered the arena at 7:31 p.m.

Doris became the fourth Housemate to be ushered into the House at 7:33 p.m.

Before Big Soso was introduced at 7:45 p.m., the show paid tribute to Rico Swavey, who passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2022, after being involved in a road accident.

The sixth Housemate was Tracy. She was introduced at 7:48 p.m.

Ivatar was introduced as the seventh housemate to the house by 7:58 p.m.

Sabrina became the eighth housemate of the reality show. She was introduced to the house by 8:02 p.m.

Gigi Jasmine was the ninth housemate introduced to the audience at 8:06 p.m.

The Boss Babe, Thelma Lawson, became the 10th housemate to be introduced to the house. She arrived at 8:17 p.m.

Imisi, the energy goddess, became the 11th housemate during the night. She was introduced by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu at 8:21 p.m. She didn’t waste any time settling into the game, as she immediately removed her wig upon entering.

Ibifubara became the 12th housemate to enter the house. She was introduced to the house by 8:32 p.m.

Isabella was introduced as the 13th housemate by 8:36 p.m.

Joana was the 14th to be introduced to the house by 8:47 p.m.

Dede came into the house as the 15th housemate. She was introduced at 8:50 p.m.

Speaking with The Guardian about why female contestants were introduced first, Executive Head of Marketing, Multichoice West Africa, Tope Oshinkeye said: “It is amazing to see the competition between men of the same gender, and we think it’s fantastic. The dynamic is different from every other season, and it’s going to be an extraordinary milestone.”

On his expectation before the next 24 hours, he said: “We expect the fans to continue to talk about it. We have seen 15 contestants so far, and the guys will go in the next day, and we are looking forward to the 10/10 season.

“We need to see who brings the biggest game.”

Meet the Queens, Big Brother

Gigi Jasmine (Nicole Simon–Ogan)

At 31, she’s a DJ, storyteller, and single mother blending Nigerian and American cultures. Known for her bold and brilliant personality, Gigi describes herself as a perfectionist and is ready to “shift the culture with brains, authenticity, and beats.”

Ivatar (Ifeyinwa Okafor)

This 37-year-old DJ, TV host, and supermum embodies a rich blend of cultures, with Yoruba and Igbo parents and a background that includes South Africa. She brings her strong personality and lively energy to the house, ready to make a mark.

Zita (Elizabeth Oloruntola)

A 24-year-old student, model, and creative force from UNILAG. Zita is a makeup artist, painter, and photographer who lives with a “YOLO” attitude. She’s honest, gentle-hearted, and eager to bring her fiery energy to the game.

Big Soso (Sonia Amako)

This 28-year-old lawyer and chef, a proud Southern Kaduna woman, exemplifies self-sufficiency. She funded her education through cooking and is a charity founder who aims to “represent the strength, resilience, and beauty of Northern women.”

Sultana (Farida Sultana Auduson Ibrahim)

A 26-year-old plus-size model and beautician from Adamawa State. Sultana is an eccentric and inquisitive soul who loves to travel and network. She’s ready to challenge her mental and physical strength and grow from the experience.

Mide (Ayomide Iwasokun)

A 23-year-old actress with a keen intuition and a cool vibe. Mide is renowned for her unfiltered honesty and can “literally tell when something isn’t adding up.” She’s here for the spotlight she believes she was born for.

Dede (Precious Ashiogwu)

At 23, Dede is fiercely focused and unapologetically genuine. She is competitive at her core and has already bought her mum a house. With a strong family bond and a love for loyalty, she’s here for the money and the moment.

Doris (Doris Okorie)

A 34-year-old radio presenter, actor, and writer, Doris describes herself as a “firecracker.” This self-aware middle child is loud, loyal, and eager to embrace the chaos, fun, and plot twists that Big Brother Naija offers.

Joanna (Josephine Iwoh)

At just 21, Joanna is a two-time pageant queen and a true force of nature. She has transformed pain into purpose and views herself as a mirror reflecting strength and truth. She’s not here to play safe; she’s here to “shake tables.”

Isabella (Esther Georgewill)

This 29-year-old mother and actress is described as “sweet like honey, sharp like a sting.” She’s fiercely nonchalant about opinions and is guided by a quiet conversation with God. She’s here to be seen as layered, grounded, and unforgettable.

Imisi (Opeyemi Ayanwale)

A 23-year-old fashion designer and actress with a daring spirit. Imisi grew up feeling isolated, which made her assertive and fiercely genuine. She’s prepared to be heard, felt, and remembered, with no script—just her authentic self.

Thelma Lawson

A 27-year-old skincare entrepreneur and single mother, Thelma exudes loud confidence and emotional honesty. She’s a determined go-getter who opened her second shop while still at university and is aiming to elevate her brand to the next level.

Ibifubara (Ibifubara Davies)

A 28-year-old trained psychologist and “force of nature.” Witty, compassionate, and a little dramatic, Ibifubara loves a good conversation and is passionate about mental health. She’s ready for whatever life throws at her.

Sabrina (Sabrina Idukpaye)

A 32-year-old actor, model, and TEDx speaker, Sabrina’s life is marked by daring pivots and complete wins. From modelling for Vogue to earning a distinction from the London School of Economics, she’s bringing her global outlook and captivating presence to the house.

Tracy (Uchenna Ekwe)

This 27-year-old is a fun, fierce, and “weird kid” who just wants to escape pressure and “breathe.” Having been burned by friends before, she’s loyal to her family and ready to embrace risk and good vibes in the house.

This milestone season will span 10 weeks filled with drama, intrigue, and continuous entertainment, broadcasting 24/7 on DStv Channel 198, GOtv Channel 49, and the Showmax streaming platform. Sunday live eviction shows will continue on these platforms, keeping fans on the edge of their seats. The rest of the housemates are set to be revealed tomorrow night, Sunday, July 27, promising even more excitement as BBNaija celebrates its 10th edition.
