Otti appoints Amadi chairman Abia advisory council on electricity

Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has appointed Dr. Sam Amadi as the Chairman of the 10-member Abia State Advisory Council on Electricity.

Amadi was the National Chairman of the National Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC). He is the Director, Abuja School of Social and Political Thought.

His appointment was contained in a statement issued Friday by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Kenneth Kalu, and made available to The Guardian.

Consequently, Engr. Ikechukwu Monday, was appointed the Co-Chairman, and Engr. Kachy Etolue, Secretary.

The statement reads: “The Executive Governor of Abia State, His Excellency, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, has approved the appointment of members of the Abia State Advisory Council on Electricity, as follows: Dr. Sam Amadi -Chairman; Engr. Ikechukwu Monday- Co-Chairman; Engr. Kachy Etolue -Secretary; Dr. Abdussalam Yusuf -Member; Engr. Vincent Ozuode -Member; Engr. Tasiu Wudil -Member; Mr. Emeka Onyegbule -Member; Engr. David Eichie -Member; Dr. Joy Oti -Member, and Ivie Ehanmo -Member.”
