Special adviser on information and strategy to President Bola Tinubu, Bayo Onanuga, described members of the new political coalition that joined the ADC as bunch of desperados and disgruntled elements, united only by their hatred for Tinubu.

Speaking on his X account on Thursday, Onanuga maintained that the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) will not sit back and mourn the departure of members who left the APC years and months ago.

Onanuga berated members of the hijacked ADC as a group of desperate and hungry politicians bent on clinching power from the APC and Tinubu just for themselves, and do not care about Nigerians. He therefore warned Nigerians to be careful of their mischiefs given their antecedent

“My advice to Nigerians: Keep your eyes wide open. A political party with no clear agenda or ideology—whose members are united only by their hatred for President Tinubu—cannot be good for our country. It will only set us back by decades.

The President’s image maker stressed that former Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, lack political relevance after he was expelled from the APC over alleged anti-party activities, while Rotimi Amaechi’s soul left the APC in 2022 after losing the presidential primary to President Tinubu.

He pointed out that former Attorney-General, Abubakar Malami, has never hidden his estrangement from the APC since Tinubu assumed leadership and since he lost the governorship bid in Kebbi. Onanuga added that Kashim Imam and former national Chairman of the APC, John Odigie Oyegun are nothing but disgruntled politicians who have abandoned the party.

“They want power at all costs because they cannot endure another four years in the political wilderness or be banished to political winter and irrelevance
“What is certain is that the group will soon unravel due to their irreconcilable personal ambitions,” he said.
