A man has died in an accident around the Soka area of the Ibadan-Lagos Expressway on Tuesday.
The incident involved a Toyota Camry and occurred at the same spot where more than 10 people lost their lives in a crash last Tuesday.
“The driver of the Toyota Camry, with Lagos registration number, was already confirmed dead,” an eyewitness said.
Another eyewitness said, “The driver hit a roadside culvert before crashing into a stationary trailer left behind from last week’s accident. The man died on the spot.”
The Oyo State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Mrs Rosemary Alo, said, “It involved a Toyota CAMRY salon car. While at top speed, it lost control and rammed into a stationary truck parked off the road at the Soka area.
The only occupant of the vehicle died in the crash. The Sanyo Police Station was contacted by passersby and the corpse was evacuated to Adeoyo hospital morgue by officers of the police station. The crashed vehicle was later towed to Sanyo Police Station by officers of the station.”
