Gwarzo hails North’s first clinical pharmacy, Hadiza Ma’aji, on elevation

The Founder and President of MAAUN Group of Universities, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Hadiza Usman Ma’aji on her elevation to the rank of professor by the Senate of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria.

Ma’aji was promoted to the rank of Professor of Clinical Pharmacy by the university recently.

The congratulatory message was conveyed to Prof. Hadiza in a statement personally signed by Prof. Adamu Gwarzo and released to newsmen on Monday.

Prof. Gwarzo also used the occasion to felicitate Prof. Hadiza Usman Ma’aji for being the first female Professor of Clinical Pharmacy in the northern part of Nigeria.

“As Northern Nigeria’s first female Professor of Clinical Pharmacy, Hadiza Usman Ma’aji deserves to be celebrated for attaining the milestone.

“On behalf of the Management of MAAUN Group of Universities, I wish to congratulate you on your promotion by the ABU Senate.”

According to Prof. Gwarzo, Hadiza wouldn’t have attained the feat if not for her commitment and zeal to excel in her academic pursuit.

“This is a female from the northern part of Nigeria who crossed the borders for her academic pursuit, as she had her M.Sc. and Ph.D. at the University of Ibadan and the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, respectively.”

Prof. Gwarzo lauded the ABU Senate for elevating Hadiza Usman Ma’aji to the professorial level, noting that her promotion is a testament to hard work and resilience.

While wishing Prof. Ma’aji long life in good health, Prof. Gwarzo prayed that the Almighty Allah will continue to uplift her status for higher responsibilities.
