Chelsea football club have been swift in the 2025 summer transfer window ahead of the 2025/26 football season with Joao Pedro being the latest addition to the squad.
There are reports that Chelsea have moved swiftly and completed the transfer of João Pedro from Brighton and Hove Albion. Chelsea have reached an agreement with Brighton to sign Joao Pedro for £50m on a seven-year deal.
This move was after they sealed the move of right-winger JoãoBynoe-Gittens from Borussia Dortmund.
The Brazilian international is a dynamic striker who was in fantastic form for Brighton last season which saw him earn a call up with the Samba boys due to his impressive form for the Seagulls.

(1) His full name is João Pedro Junqueira de Jesus because of the complexity of its pronunciation he is called João Pedro for short.
(2) He was born on 26 September 2001 in Ribeirão Preto, Brazil, and came through the Fluminense academy before moving to Watford in 2020, where he scored 23 goals in 104 appearances.
(3) Brighton signed him from Watford, and since then he’s become a potent force having scored 19 Premier League goals in 58 matches and playing a central role in their European campaigns (with 6 Europa League goals in 6 games).
(4) He made his senior debut for Brazil in November 2023, coming on as a substitute against Colombia. He’s also featured for the U23 side.
(5) João Pedro has a reputation as one of Europe’s most reliable penalty takers just like Cole Palmer. 10 of his 15 Premier League goals in one season came from the spot.
