Police launch manhunt on kidnappers in Ebonyi community

The Police command in Ebonyi have launched a manhunt on kidnappers of a middle-aged man, Uduma Idam-Chima in Amasiri community abducted in Edda local government area of the state.

The Command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Joshua Ukandu told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Abakaliki, that the incident occurred on June 14.

According to Ukandu, the command is aware of the incident and we have launched a manhunt to apprehend the perpetrators.

“Yes, we have deployed our officers to the area; we have started investigation to uncover the root cause of the abduction.

NAN recalls that Oso-Edda Development Town Union had on Thursday took to the streets over the incident, calling for the assistance of security agents to rescue their brother.

Mr Ama Aba Emeh, President-General of Osa-Edda Town Union decried the incident and urged for lasting solutions for peace in the area.
