The Singapore and Asian Schools Math Olympiad (SASMO) held its highly anticipated award ceremony to recognize the outstanding achievements of students from various schools. This prestigious event brought together top-performing students, educators, and parents to celebrate excellence in mathematics.

The ceremony honored the overall best student worldwide in grade 11,Adoga Agbo Daniel from Graceland international School port Harcourt and other top scorers showcasing exceptional talent and dedication to mathematics.

These students demonstrated remarkable problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of mathematical concepts.

The competition saw participation from a large number of students across different world class schools, with many achieving outstanding scores. The results reflect the hard work and commitment of both students and teachers.

Students were recognized in various categories, including gold, silver, and bronze awards, based on their performance in the Olympiad.

The ministry of education was represented by the director of special duty and director of private and government secondary schools and they joined in celebrating the milestone of the outstanding students.

The Nigerian Country Partner, Mrs Mercy Josiah encouraged the ministry of education and other kind hearted individuals, organizations, and corporate sponsors to support students from private and public schools to partake in Olympiad exams and promote mathematics education and critical thinking abilities in schools. And to also provide the students with privilege of representing Nigeria in the global platform and subsequently offer scholarship admission into world class universities.

She also stated that all medalists and Honourable mention will be representing Nigeria in Singapore by July 2025, for a mathematics competition (Singapore international math Olympiad challenge -SIMOC) with over 50 countries represented.
